Binary is a base 2 numbering system. It is used in mathematics equations, astronomy and is the basis by which a computer operates. Binary code is a code in which everything is described by a format using only sequences of 1 s and 0 s. In a computer this code switches things on and off depending on the sequence (1=On, 0=Off) thereby causing functions to occur.
