What is Bookmark?
A bookmark
is a reference made in your
Internet
web
browser
software application for the pu-rpose of being able to quickly and easily
return to and retrieve
web pages/websites that you have previously been to and bookmarked.
Bookmarks
are usually represented by a drop down menu at the top of your
web
browser or by a side bar listing.
Bookmarks
made in the
Microsoft
Internet Explorer web
browser
application are referred to as favorites. When you see a link on a website that
says bookmark
this website, then this link usually represents an automated way to add the link
to your
bookmarks simply by clicking the link.
Bookmarks
can often be imported and exported between
browsers by
the web
browsers themselves or by third party applications. |
