FAQ is the term given to a list of frequently asked questions. FAQ listings serve the purpose of providing a central repositry of answers to repeatidly asked questions to a given place or organisation by its users or customers. The FAQ usually starts by listing all of the common questions and then lists the given answers with the questions usually having hyperlinks to the accompanying answer. FAQs came to be with the advent of the Internet, where sites such as forums or business sites would continually attract new visitors who would often ask the same or similar questions, the online FAQ would provide a quick and easy way to bring the new visitors up to speed with questions that had already been answered a number of times. |
