FAT32 is a
file system (used for storing data on hard disks), which was developed and
mainly used by
Microsoft
Windows. There are several reasons, why
Microsoft
replaced it with the newer and better NTFS by now: 1st: You can only have files
4 GB big, when using this file system. 2nd: A major drawback is that the
FAT32 file
system isn't able to handle file permissions and therefore allows everyone to
read every file on the hard disk.
