A monitor is a device on which video output from your computer is displayed. Monitors are usually similar in appearance to a TV and can be either flat screen or have the more typical bulky older style TV profile.
Monitors come in various types. The older and currently most common type are
CRT (cathode ray tube). More recently,
LCD (liquid crystal display) monitors have become available. These are becoming increasingly popular, and much more common for newer computers.
Monitors can be either analog, or digital. |
