What is Quicktime?
Quicktime
is a series of commercial codecs designed and distributed by
Apple.
Designed primarily for the
Apple OS they
allow the playback and creation of video and audio files. They allow developers
to write
software to a known standard that everyone has (or can have). With the past
popularity of some multimedia using
Quicktime
encoded video and audio the
Quicktime
codec series was also developed for the Microsoft Windows platform. The
Quicktime
download is also used as a vehicle for distributing
Apples
ecommerce
venture iTunes shopping
software. |
