VBScript (VBS) is a scripting language developed by Microsoft for use in some Windows applications as well as for use in web development using Internet Information Server (IIS) and the Active Server Pages (ASP) server side web development language. VBScript represents a cut down version of the common BASIC programming language and more specifically a derivative of the Microsoft Visual Basic programming language.
