Client-Side is everything, which happens on the side of the client, so the application, which he uses to browse the web. If you have a CGI-Script for example, this generates the Webpage on the Server, so it s server-side. But if it generates e.gg. JavaScript Code, which is executed in the visitors browser, this process is called a client-side process.
