Turn links into credits ! - last updated 19th July 2007

Link building is one of the most important aspects of SEO. So let’s build some links and get our site to the top pages of Google. Every link you create will earn you credits

What qualifies a link?

A link is every 'hard' html link on a web page that:

- does not have the nofollow attribute
- robot.txt does not prevent crawler from accessing
- is not a javascript link
- is not a redirect
- does not have any other trick to avoid search engines seeing this as a vote. If in doubt contact the link manager.

The link can point to any valid page on webmastervocab.com, it does not need to be the main page.

How much can you earn?.

Some links are more important than others, that's why we have come up with the following basic rating system based on the PageRank of the page on which the links appears. On top of that you can earn a few bonusses.

General formula:
credits =100 x (PR page + 1) x (PR page + 1)

So this means:

PR 0: 100 credits = 100 x (0+1)x(0+1)

PR 1: 400 credits = 100 x (1+1)x(1+1)

PR 2: 900 credits = 100 x (2+1)x(2+1)

PR 3: 1.600 credits = 100 x (3+1)x(3+1)

PR 4: 1.500 credits = 100 x (4+1)x(4+1)

PR 5: 3.600 credits = 100 x (5+1)x(5+1)

PR 6: 7.200 credits = 100 x (6+1)x(6+1)

PR 7: 6.400 credits = 100 x (7+1)x(7+1)

PR 8: 8.100 credits = 100 x (8+1)x(8+1)

PR 9: 10.000 credits = 100 x (9+1)x(9+1)

PR 10: 12.100 credits = 100 x (10+1)x(10+1)

On top of these credits there are a number of bonusses:

Domain credits

If the PR of the domain is higher than 4, you get a domain bonus:
credits = PR domain x 10.

First link on domain:

If your link is the first link on that domain to our web page you get a first link bonus:
credits = PR domain x 100

Page not indexed by Google

When the page your link appears on is not indexed by Google, you will only earn 10% of the value of the link. As soon as the page is indexed, you will receive the full 100%.

You can check if a page is indexed by google by typing in the complete url, including parameters, in Google and click search. If the page shows up in the search results it is indexed.

How many links can you submit per domain?

You can submit a maximum of 10 links per domain. This to avoid that search engines will catalog our link building as search engine spam.

What if you add a link as a footer to every page of my domain ?

You will receive credits for the 10 highest PR pages on your domain and a full domain bonus of 100xPR+1. Just submit the top 10 pages using the claim a link tool and send me an email with the message that you have rolled a footer out across your entire domain. I will then manually add the bonus.
